This Defender is farley rare for the US and I don't think your neighbor will be getting one like this anytime soon.  Under the skin it is a 1993 NAS Range Rover LWB, with Its 93 NAS running gear, on the outside it is a 1993 spec Defender 110.   The interior is all 1996 P38a Range Rover with electric seats and Discovery console.  The floor pan is out of the 96 Range Rover to give much more room and makes the cab much stiffer and the Range Rover seats bolt right in.  There are not rear jump seats, there is room for two but not four.  There are lots of extras like ten disc changer and Sat radio and Tom Tom Sat Navigation mount integrated into the stereo.  It is one cool truck and very nice.
