Cooling
Radiator The radiator was made by Howe and is a Chevy dirt track 19'' X 19'' unit. I do think the oversized holes cut for the RV8 headers in the wheel wells helps tremendously in venting the heat from the engine compartment.
Thermostat 160 degree thermostat.
Pressure. The system has a 25-pound pressure cap on radiator and 16 on expansion tank.
Expansion tank. I used a brass tank off of a 1987 Range Rover to replace the original expansion tank. It mounted right on the passenger side wheel well and has a larger fluid capacity to the original tank. It also has a level sensor built in.
Pusher fan. The car has one 16" pusher fan mounted on the front of the radiator. the fan is wired with a relay circuit. The switching circuit is wired through an adjustable thermostatic switch so it can switch on and off automatically.
